These last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic in our house. But in amongst all the craziness, I got a lovely surprise from a fellow blogger. Miranda, over at Let Food HEAL Your Body, nominated me for the Creative Blogger Award.
I am so grateful to Miranda, not only for nominating me for the award, but also for being my biggest supporter in my blogging journey so far. I am also grateful for the amazing information she provides on her blog about how to use food to heal your body. She has an incredible personal story about how food helped her stop taking a whole host of medications that had been prescribed for her illness, and she has some really interesting information about Ayurvedic medicine and food.
Now to the award.
The rules
- Nominate 10-20 blogs and notify the nominees.
- Post the link of the blog that nominated you.
- Share five random facts about yourself.
Five Random Facts About Myself
- I grew up on a tiny British island (Jersey) that is just 9 by 5 miles.
- I was a Barrister (trial attorney) in London, England until I went on holiday to Southern California, learned to surf, and met my American husband at the beach. Ten years later we still surf together.
- I am learning to tap dance – something I have wanted to do since I was 4 years old. I LOVE it, even if I do look like Dick Van Dyke in the penguin scene in Mary Poppins.
- I once spent 3 months in Trinidad working with human rights lawyers and interviewing prisoners on death row.
- I love cake. I try to only eat cake that I have made (or my friend Brigitte, an excellent baker). That way it isn’t around too often and I know exactly what the ingredients are. But everything in moderation, right?

Congratulations on your award, Esther! And, many thanks for the nomination. Looking forward to reading the blogs you listed. I’m also a huge fan of cake! 😉
I would LOVE to dance like Dick Van Dyke in the penguin scene in Mary Poppins ! It sounds like you are really a natural at this tap dance business!
On reflection, I think I may have overplayed my tap dancing skills.
