“Food is one of our most powerful tools for healing when it’s rooted in science and made with love”
Hi, I’m Esther, gut health Dietitian and mum navigating the beautiful mess of real life and real food. I created The Wholesome Fork to share simple, nourishing recipes rooted in science and grounded in compassion. I believe food has the power to do more than just fuel us – it can support healing, resilience, and a sense of peace around eating, especially when we’re dealing with complex health issues like digestive disorders and autoimmune conditions.
As a mum to a neurodivergent child with PANS/PANDAS, I understand how overwhelming food and nutrition can become – how quickly it shifts from something joyful to something filled with stress and uncertainty. That’s why I care deeply about taking the pressure off. My goal is to help you feel confident about the food you eat and the food you feed your family. No fads, no fear – just real, evidence-based nourishment.
“When life gets complicated, food shouldn’t be”
Whether you’re here because of bloating, burnout, brain fog, chronic inflammation – or you’re supporting a child with complex needs – I hope you’ll find recipes, resources, and encouragement to meet you where you are.
About Me
I grew up on the island of Jersey, and began my professional life as a Barrister in London, but a chance meeting while surfing in California changed everything. I relocated to Los Angeles, returned to university to study Nutritional Science, and qualified as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
I now combine clinical expertise as a gut health dietitian with personal experience to support others on their healing journey, especially those navigating gut health challenges, autoimmune conditions, and food sensitivities within the family.
Outside of my work, I love being by the sea, doing yoga, tap dancing, cooking, and spending time with my family. Raising a child with PANS/PANDAS has taught me more than any textbook ever could – about patience, adaptability, and the quiet power of small, consistent nourishment.

I’m so glad you’re here. I hope this space helps you feel more informed, less alone, and inspired to cook food that truly supports your wellbeing.
