This vegan golden milk made with turmeric is an extremely effective natural cough remedy.
Ingredients
1 cup milk (coconut, almond, dairy, or any other kind)
¾ tsp ground turmeric
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan) Add more or less to taste
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Put all the ingredients in a small pan.*
Heat over a medium heat for about 3 minutes stirring occasionally (don't let it boil).
Pour into a mug, stir well, and enjoy (just make sure you swirl it around as you get near the end of your mug as the spices tend to settle at the bottom.)
*Alternatively, you can put all the ingredients in a mug, stir them well, and heat in the microwave for 50-70 seconds.
