Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Don’t you just love long weekends? I love having the time to hang out with friends and eat some good food. Unfortunately the food choices at holiday weekend pot luck gatherings are not always healthy. So what should you do? Are holiday weekends a time to throw caution to the wind and pig out on unhealthy foods, or is it better to be more reserved? I like to find a middle ground. Yes I’ll have a burger, some chips, maybe even a brownie or two, but I will still make sure that half my plate is filled with fruit and vegetables.
